TREES AT ALL SAINTS

The proposal to reduce the yew avenue, consisting of 4 yews either side of the pathway from the Millennium Gate to the north porch, and the overhanging major yew has been submitted to East Dorset District Council. The Planning and Building Control Division has appointed a Tree Officer to survey the churchyard on 17 May and subject to her approval an Application for Formal Advice (Faculty) will be submitted to the DAC.
So said the Words from the Wardens page recently. It prompted me to take my camera down to All Saints to record the scene before the trees are no more, or greatly reduced. Whilst there and having trees at the forefront of my mind I noticed what magnificent trees are at All Saints and how they add greatly to the atmosphere. The results of this meditation are reproduced below in no particular order.
